Horizon by Scott Westerfeld (4/5)

Horizon, by Scott Westerfeld, is a fiction novel that is about a robotics team, whose plane crashes and they all wake up in a place that seems unworldly. The grass is red, there are weird and ferocious, animals watching your every move. None of their communication devices work and there is only a limited amount of food and water. The robotics team must figure out where they are, why all this is happening, and how to get out of there. This book is fun to read because anything could happen and it is action-packed. It is also interesting because you have to wonder along with the characters in the book about what is this place that they are in, and how to get out. The book brings up the possibility of being stuck in a jungle-like place you do not even know how you got to and having to adapt to survive with little food and water. This book showed me what life is like for some people that live in the jungle. In conclusion, Horizon, by, Scott Westerfeld is a fun-to-read, action-packed book, which shows survival in the jungle with some fantasy things also added to it.
