Lilly Bloom, an aspiring florist, strikes gold when she meets her new best friend Allysa. Allysa works for less than minimum wage for Lily, helped Lily open her flower shop, and always made her feel like she was a part of her family. It is soon revealed that Allysa and Lily have one connection prior to their friendship that was unknown for months. The moment Allysa’s brother Ryle walks back into the picture, life gets complicated for Lily once again. This novel had me constantly wanting to read more. It seemed as if each chapter revealed a new layer to at least one of the character’s past and did an amazing job of creating a series of events that didn’t seem repetitive. I felt like I made a real connection to all the characters and had personal opinions on all of their personalities. I found myself questioning the protagonist’s decisions constantly and trying to put myself in her shoes. This novel has a lot of depth to it without making it a hard read or too overcomplicated. Overall, I think this was an amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance novels
