The book picks up by following the perspective of the main group Princess Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius, Lord Chaol Westfall, King Dorian Havilliard, Manon Crochan-Blackbeak, Prince Rowan Whitethorn Galathynius, Lady Elide Lochan, Lorcan Salvaterre, General Aedion Ashryver, and Lady Lysandra Ennar to name a few of them. The book is after the events of the Tower of Dawn/Empire of Storm book. The book talks about how the characters come together to try to stop the dark forces from invading their home of Terrasen from all directions. The Gods seek a sacrifice of a whole person whether that is Alein or Dorian. If they fail to do so the world and universe as they know it will be covered in the shadows of suffering. I gave the book a four out of five because it was an overall book but I had a little bit of a hard time remembering little details from the previous books. The plot was great and I loved it, how the characters reacted to meeting each other was amazing and I would love to re-read it but this time I read all the books closer together to gain more of a grasp of the whole story. I would advise that future readers will prepare with tissues. I would also like to advise the readers to review all that they know about the series and other books by Shara J. Mass to refresh on some things that are needed to be known for this book. I would also like to wish all of you a happy reading.
