Ovid's Metamorphoses by Rolfe Humphries (4/5)

Do you like Greek mythology? Do you like short stories? This book has it all.

Ovid’s Metamorphoses is a book about Greek mythology depicting the changes and creation of certain animals like spiders.

Since it is a compilation of short stories there is no real plot, but it explains the changes made by the gods and other nefarious creatures.

The Metamorphoses is a common book with numerous translations, but by far this is the best. With language that most will understand to keep with the times but once in a while you will hit a word like “poson” where you know, it means poison but you get the feeling of the past.

All in all, if you like to learn about mythology about the Greek this is a must-read book.
