Percy Jackson The Lighting Theif(4/5)

In the book “Percy Jackson And The Olympians”, there is a 12 year old book named Percy Jackson. Percy discovers for the first time in his life he is a demigod, which is half human-half god. After finding out this news his life was more at stake. After he finds this out his friend Grover reveals the truth about his life and why his father left him at a young age and shows how he  is a sayar, proving his wild statement.  After Percy seems convinced they go to this place called “Camp Half Blood Hill”, where they’re more like them. This camp protects them from the outside dangers that come with being a half-blood, like monsters and other gods doing.  When he goes to this camp they teach him about the gods and the nature of their life. Percy finds out he is the first son of the big three gods, after having an agreement that they wouldn't have any kids because they're offspring could unbalance both worlds. This agreement was made by the three gods, Hades, Zues, and Posiden Percy's father.  Furthermore, a Centaur which is half horse-half human, named Choirn explains why his existence is the most at risk out of all the demi-gods in the camp. Recently, Zeus the god of lighting has lost his lighting bolt source of his power. The discover of the sea god child has come to suspicion of Zues for being the “Lighting Bolt Thief”, then threatens to start a war among the gods if his Lighting Bolt isn't returned by the “Summer Solstice”. Therefore Chrion has given a quest to Percy to find this bolt and prove his innocence. Along the way he picks two other people for his quest, Grover and Annabet, the daughter of the Greek god Athena.   They start their quest, along the way they encounter a lot of monsters and gods that are also instarted if Percy, the son of the big three, does steal the bolt.  Also, they were also not very friendly ones and convinced Percy to have the bolt and would kill them to reach it.  They would have to get help from gods like Hermes, the  messenger of the gods for information. After these encounters with these gods they would become closer to their final goal.  Ultimately, even with the help  Percy and his friends couldn’t find the Lighting Bolt and the time Zues gave Percy was running out. They’re next clue leads them to the underworld where Hades rules, and believes he has the bolt, with very disappoint he doesn't have the bolt and comes with more issues. The God of the Underworld, blames the lost of his “Helm of Darkness” and both god and the trio are confused in who is doing this if it isn't the mischievous Hades. They escape the Underworld, and get led to the god Ares.  Convincing all of them to find his lost shield he would give information back to them that would help with their quest because even though he is the god of war, he doesn't want this internal war to start. After reaching his shield,  he gives information that leads back to Camp Half Blood. Back at Camp Half Blood, they meet Luke who is the son of Hermes. Percy and his friends become suspicious about Luke after asking about the thief. In all the pressure. Luke breaks and confronts his plan with the bolt. Luke was the lighting theif and stole the bolt and wanted war between the gods from his disgust of the gods and from his father. Percy and Luke fight, Percy succeeds in achieving the bolt from Luke and has to find a way to send it back to Zues.  Percy, AnNbeth, and Grover quickly go to the Empire State Building after hearing this was the entrance of the gate of Olympus. Percy and his friends reach the top and there they are sitting down in their godly size, all the gods of Oympis including his father and Annabeth's mom waiting for their arrival.  Percy explains the story and how this all started with Luke, after handing the bolt to Zues and which is now he acknowledges Percy bravery and honesty.  The trio, ride down the elevator of the building and travel back to Camp Half Blood Hill without any war between the gods.  After this quest he has accepted his life and owns the title of being Son of Poisden, a demi-god.

I believe this book was very entertaining and had me in the fantasy world that I could’ve never had. I would read this book again and read the whole series.
