The Lightning Thief is a book by Rick Riordan, mainly focused on Greek mythology. The main character is Percy Jackson, and he and his friends go on an adventure to find and return Zeus’s thunderbolt. Percy has ADHD and dyslexia, so he struggles with making friends with his only friend being Grover. When Percy and his class go to a Greek museum for a field trip, things go awry, and begins Percy’s quest to figure out what he truly is. I believe this book was very captivating. It always had you hooked and turning the pages to find out what happens next. I haven’t read many books, so I can say with confidence this is one of the best ones I have read. New readers should know this is a seven-book series, so do not start unless you are willing to get invested.
