Perfection: The Inside Story by Bob Griese and Dave Hyde (4/5)

The book that I read was a very compelling and interesting book. It makes me very happy that I chose this book because I really truly liked it. The book is about the story of the 1972 Miami Dolphins who went on an undefeated streak throughout the whole season. For those who don't know a football season back in 1972 consisted of 14 regular-season games. Those games do not include the playoffs which in the Dolphins case they played 3 games in the playoffs. If you make it to the super bowl you usually play 4 games in the playoffs including the super bowl game. But since the Dolphins were very good they skipped the first round of playoffs (also known as wildcard games). I am including this to show that they won 17 games straight. The biggest change in my opinion is their Offensive line structure. This changed when Don Shula told Bob Griese to stay in the pocket. Bob Griese told Shula to get him a pocket to stay in. Pocket means the area behind all the O-Linemen. Miami Dolphins started building their O-Line the way Bob Requested and it was all up from there. This book made me feel really good. I like learning about the secrets and how the 1972 Miami Dolphins became as great as they were. The only downside to this book is the fact that it wasnt very entertaining. I love Sports so usually, sportsbooks are easy to focus on. This book had great information and interesting information but it was hard to stay focused while reading it. I would only recommend this book to people who like sports. The author made the book kind of bland and there weren't that many exciting parts to the book. That is what made the book boring. Other than that the book was perfect and was very cool to see the great team develop and become the great team they are known for today.
