Shakelton's Way by Margot Morrell (5/5)

Shackelton's Way, by Margot Morrell, was published on August 27, 2002. Shackleton’s Way is a historical fiction book with the theme of exploration and leadership. It takes place aboard the RRS (Royal Research Ship) Endurance, a ship that which Erik Shakelton and 27 men sail the Antarctic from 1914-1917. With a doomed ship in the middle of the ocean, the amazing leadership skills of Captain Erik Shakelton keep the ship afloat. “Through endurance we conquer.” Furthermore, the idea of never giving up and endurance is the main message being delivered in the book. The idea stretches all the way through the book because “Endurance” was why the crew stayed alive through their harsh voyage. The novel is definitely a notably good read and with an endless amount of action and a great amount of suspense this book is definitely a memorable book. I would say that the book is filled with good morals and good ideas that can be actively applied to our daily lives. The book suggests that endurance, perseverance, and anything is possible. The novel is great to relate to our daily lives because having determination and endurance can get you to almost anywhere you want to go. Shakelton’s Way is an awesome read with generally relevant

points, with a voyage and exploration topic Shakelton’s Way, is a very recommended
