Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo (4/5)

In Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, you continue to follow Alina Starvkov in her journey to collect the ancient amplifiers. Found only in storybooks and rumored to be in remote parts of the world, finding the amplifiers is no easy task. Alina needs them to defeat the darkling, an ancient Grisha warrior who has taken over all of Ravka. With the amplifiers, Alina hopes to gain enough power to restore Ravka and defeat the dark general. She is on the run with her friends, hoping to stay hidden from the darkling and his warriors long enough to gather an army that can defeat him. The second book in the Shadow and Bone series was just as fun and fast-paced as the first. I never got bored reading it because something new was always happening. The characters were all unique, which created such an interesting clash of personalities throughout the book. Through the adventures of the book, I was constantly surprised and curious about what would happen next. It never felt like a struggle to read and I could always understand what was going on. It's a great read that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves magic. Siege and Storm is perfect for someone that's looking forward to a fantastical adventure what would happen next. It never felt like a struggle to read and I could always understand what was going on.
