The Black Arrow by Robert Louis Stevenson (4/5)

(Quick disclaimer, I have not read the whole book yet, this review is based on 75% of the book from the start.) The book is set in the medieval times of England and therefore the dialogue and word choice offers a shakespeare-ish feeling. We follow the adventures of young master Shelton as he tries to outsmart the knight who killed his father and avenge him while rescuing his lady, Joanna Sedley. I found the plot interesting yet hard to consume due to the medieval type of language. If you are an avid reader, I would recommend this book because it has a very interesting story along with an intriguing, spontaneous cast. If you are less experienced, however, stay away from this book until later so that the word choice doesn’t confuse you when trying to understand the plot.
