The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolken(4/5)

In The Hobbit, there is a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins that lives a pretty relaxing lifestyle and does not explore or go on adventures at all. One day, a wizard named Gandalf comes to him and asks to have tea. The next day they have tea and 13 other dwarves show up uninvited. They eat all of his food, drink all of his tea, and explain to Bilbo how they need another person to go on an adventure with them. They think that Bilbo is a burglar and they need a burglar for what they are going to do. Bilbo did not agree at the start but then he thought about it all night and realized that it may be good for him to finally get out of his town and explore the world. The next day they set out to find treasure that a dragon took over many years ago. They go through many forests, meet many people, and they are trying to find and take back the treasure that was once theirs. Bilbo and the dwarves encountered many issues along the way. They got stuck in caves, couldn’t find their way to the treasure, and at one point Gandalf left Bilbo and the dwarves to finish the adventure themselves. They even talk to the dragon that took all of their gold and valuables. Eventually someone else other than them killed the dragon and kind of took all of the credit for it. In the end they found their treasure and distributed it. In my opinion, this was a great book and was very well written, but it was nothing very important. I have read other books that I am more interested in, but if you like fantasy, this is a great book for you. When I was reading this book I was trying to read it somewhat fast. It would have definitely been better to me if I took my time and read it slowly. I have also watched the movie and that was great as well. Overall, The Hobbit Is a great story, and a great read.
