Thomas and his friends have just been rescued by a group of people called WICKED. After the helicopter ride, they were brought to a small facility, made up of two rooms. Once they regroup with each other, a strange man tells them of the apocalyptic outside world that has fallen, and Thomas and his friends are the last hope. By giving them the task to make it across the desert or die of the virus that they had been given, by WICKED.
After reading the first Maze Runner book, this one was not as good as the first one but still pretty good. It had multiple plot twists that weren’t obvious and there was always something happening in each chapter. Making this book not slow-paced, at all.
Make sure that you have a quiet place to read this book, so you don’t miss anything. Taking it slow would also improve your experience of reading this book.
