Rick Riordan created the brilliant fiction book The Serpent’s Shadow which ties the modern day era with the ideas of ancient Egypt. The protagonists, Sadie and Carter Kane, embark on a journey looking for the possible solution of stopping doomsday and the rise of the ancient god of chaos, Apophis. Overall, this book provided a great end to the series and satiated my expectations of an ending for such an amazing series that I really enjoyed! This book was very memorable for me since there were many factual connections to the ideas of the Egyptians, from their mythology to their ancient cities that have long been lost to the sands of the Arabian Desert. It also includes mind games for both the characters and the reader to experience giving it a more engaging experience to read.
