A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson (5/5)

For my book Love, I chose to read A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, published May 2nd, 2019.  It falls under the category of young adult and mystery, which are two of my favorite types of books.  I first heard about it from my friend and she could not stop talking about how good and mysterious it was.  She told me she was hooked from the very beginning and could not stop reading until the end.  After I heard her talk about it I knew I had to read it too.  Once completed the first book I loved it so much that I already bought the next two sequels.  I'm looking forward to reading them and finding out what happens next in Pippa's investigation.

The book follows an investigation run by the main character Pippa as she investigates the murder of Andie Bell.  Andie was super popular in her town, Fairview, and her boyfriend Sal Singh was accused of killing her.  Then, shortly after Andie went missing Sal took his own life.    Pippa seems to believe Sal is innocent so she starts to investigate the case with Sal's younger brother, Ravi.   As they investigate further they uncover more secrets and realize the story is actually more complicated than it seems.  After their findings they piece together Sal was innocent all along and begin to question who was Andie Bell's real killer.  Pippa is faced with the difficult decision of hurting her relationships or revealing the truth and risking herself and her family's safety.

After reading this book I was totally shocked by all the twists and turns that happened.  What surprised me the most was how Pippa was able to uncover the truth and the police could not.  She was so determined to prove Sal's innocence that she put herself and her family in serious danger.   I like her commitment to finding the truth and getting justice for Sal.  This book is definitely worth reading and it will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish and has lots of unexpected moments.  If you love mystery books I highly recommend A Good Girls Guide to Murder!
