And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (4/5)

You and a group of people have been tricked onto an isolated island. If the problem wasn’t already horrible, people are slowly being killed, but by who? For what purpose? Who are the targets? What can I do? Will I survive? This is one of the mind boggling questions that haunts the entirety of the novel And Then There Were None, written by Angela Christie in 1939. The book takes place on Soldier Island, where 10 people were manipulated onto this rural island. People are slowly starting to be killed, by one of their own. They must hunt the killer, before it hunts them, to survive their stay. The novel is full of intriguing plot progressions, with unexpected turns in every chapter. However, the ending of the novel is disappointing and does not leave readers satisfied. Overall, the novel is exquisitely written with fascinating storylines; yet, the ending does not properly tie up the novel. I would recommend this book for a nice read on the go when you can only read for small incriminates of time.
