Confess by Colleen Hoover(4/5)

The book Confess was written by Colleen Hoover. Published March 10, 2015. The book is an adult fiction with some romance. Throughout the whole book there is a deep theme, which is not just about love but it’s about sacrificing yourself for who you deeply love and not putting yourself first all the time. For example Auburn had to sacrifice herself at times to help Owen, and Owen sacrificed himself so she wouldn’t lose something very important to her. These both main characters both sacrificed for each other.

These two met in an art studio, Owens art studio. Auburn loved the drawing and felt connected to them. The book Confess goes back and forth between Auburn and Owens' feelings for each other. When Auburn gets a job at Owens’ art studio they get more attached and their story becomes more romantic. Auburn hasn’t felt this way since Adam, her first love, the only one she loved till now. Adam sadly passed due to cancer. Owen and Auburns’ relationship almost gets ruined because Trey, who is Adam's brother, tries to ruin everything between these two. Auburn can’t ruin the relationship between Trey and herself or else she might lose someone who means the whole world to her. Owen is getting in the way of that and Auburn can’t let that happen. Later on Owen and Auburn meet again and Trey puts him in jail and frames him because he is jealous . Auburn fights to get Owen out of jail, she succeeds and exchanges by not sharing something that could ruin Trey. Auburn succeeds in falling in love again with Owen and now has what she could never live without.

This book was very entertaining and interesting. The book didn’t just go on, I love how the author separated each chapter to back and forth Auburn’ perspective on a chapter and the next Owen’ perspective and so on. It made the book very entertaining since that was the first book I read designed like this. I did not agree with Colleen Hoover making the perspective totally different from each other's thinking and not expressing it to each other. The whole book was mainly them saying things in their mind and not expressing it. But I do agree how she was trying to make it more of a build up in the rising action. The climax was a great part of the book because of the way she did it. The book affected me by wanting to read more, Confess was a great book to read and not that hard to get lost. Knowing that Auburn lost someone very important to her was a big deal but later on she fell in love. This tells me that something bad or sad can lead to something great.

The book Confess was a good choice. I would definitely read this book again. Advice for the next readers in the future is to really pay attention in the beginning. The little details are the biggest part in the book. But overall I would recommend this book to a lot of people.
