An epic prank battle, a school war against the tyrant that reigned for the last 40 years. Don’t get caught follows Maxx cobb as he tries to get revenge on the Choas club that humiliated him and 4 other students. Together, they try and prank back the secret organization that has tormented the students and staff with their dubious schemes. Throughout these 5 students' junior year they spend the majority of the time planning to expose the Chaos Club as a way to prank them back. The characters in think book all have a very unique personalities that made it very entertaining to see them interact. Max, in the beginning, is presented as a guy who despises the fact that he is so average. The book tried to give him the character development he needed but in the end, it always sounded so self-righteous and fake. There was no real development in him and the other characters were very two-dimensional with no real depth. Additionally, their friendships seemed reliant upon the pranks they pulled. It was almost like they would never talk unless it was about the Choas Club. This made it hard to imagine how close they were as friends and also imagine their trust in each other. The pranks themselves were also really enjoyable and cool to see how they played out. The ending was very rushed and the big reveal happens in the last chapter and not enough time is devoted to building it up. The twist at the end itself is boring. Only because the “villain” is a poorly-written character that I never got attached to. It was not all that bad, I loved Wheeler's character and how he finds himself throughout the book. There were jokes in this book at made me laugh enough to stop reading and show someone else. Overall this was a very entertaining story that was very quick to read.
