Every Summer After by Carley Fortune(5/5)

The book is based on a girl named Persephone Fraser or percy as her best friend calls her. She was sort of known as a geek not social but her “best friend” back at home was the popular girl through the book her family ends up getting a summer house away from her city life her neighbors later on become her best friends but one of the brothers in particular is closer to her. Percy wants to pursue writing, Sam her best friend, grows feelings for percy but because she lives in the house next door to him in the summer they don't talk as much during school season and percy discovery her feelings for another boy due to peer pressure from her best friend in the city when she revels this to Sam he's upset but doesn't show it percy sure does know he feels a way towards her relationship after she invites him to her house for the week and Sam shows attitude towards her boyfriend. All Percy wants is summer to be all year around and for Charlie( Sam's older brother) To stop hitting on her. Sam Notices before they go to college that he doesn't want to waste time and let her get away so he pops the big questions and Percy says no. But true love always finds a way back to each other but in this case it took someone to die for their love to be rekindled. The book definitely started off slowly like a book you take to the beach and read but you need to go to the beach a couple times to finish it because you don't really want to go out of your way at home to read it. Overall though when the book starts to get interesting it turns into a rollercoaster of events from deaths to first times and new boyfriends, and new loves? The book is definitely something I will read again just because it is really good and definitely gets you in the summer mood but also makes you wish you lived next to the lake the way they describe its beauty. The book is a beautiful boom that shows the dos and don'ts in loving someone and shows you to really chase your dreams but for new readers to the book i advise you not to read it in one sitting unless you plan to be somewhere for a while and really focus on just the book because it's a book to appreciate and take in word for word if you don't have the time though it gives you an excuse to go to the beach and read a chapter or 2 everyday till you finish the book and realize mothers know best.
