Fahrenheit 451 is about a fireman living in a dystopian future where, every night, he starts fires and burns books. This is his job and how he makes a living for himself and his wife. However, he meets a young girl next door who asks many questions and makes him think about their dystopian world. The fireman, Guy Montag, never questions his work or anything, until the young girl influences him to rebel.
I really enjoyed reading this book and it has a lot of deeper meanings that are interesting to decipher. I know this will be a very memorable book for me, and it has a lot of deep, powerful stories. The author had many opinions and views about the future that I don’t necessarily agree with, but they made for a more interesting read. For example, the future through this book is depicted as a very dystopian and upside-down world where happiness and peace are scarce. The book also provides Montang’s stories of betrayal, death, war, and rebellion. These really affected him, and it connected with people and real-world problems.
In conclusion, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is a great read and certainly leaves an impression on readers. The book changed my outlook on value and happiness. I really recommend this book to everyone, as I feel everyone can get something inspirational out of this book.
