FOUNDATION'S EDGE by Isaac Asimov (4/5)

This book is called Foundation’s Edge by Isaac Asimov. This book is relatively a science fiction book. The main theme surrounding this book is Religion and Belief. The general issue addressed after the book is the scramble for information left by a genius mathematician in order to grow a powerful empire. The first foundation and the second foundation have been at war for about a century. Both of these foundations are trying to find out where this planet called Gaia is based on Hari Seldon the genius mathematician's calculations and precise instructions. The problem is, none of the foundations have found it yet. This is the top priority because this is the possible home planet where an abundance of information can be found in order for one foundation to have the upper arm on the other. The two foundations are led by previous “descendants” of the famous Hari Seldon both in a struggle for power. I would consider this book very memorable for the readers. The reason is that there is a whole series of these 8 books. Each book will make the reader want to dive deeper even more into the following ones. I agree with the author on many of the attributes of this continuous story. This was so deep that even Star Wars decided to base its whole plot on the fictional stories being told by the renowned author Isaac Asimov. Possible issues that this book could raise could be copyright infringement from Star Wars since they literally used the whole plot created by Isaac Asimov. To add on, some authors that agree and like Asimov’s writing include Greg Bear, David Brin, and Kevin Anderson who all agree that the foundation series is a complete work of art. David says, “Asimov served wondrous meals-of-the-mind to a civilization that was starved for clear thinking about the future”, and goes on even more. This book affected me because it opened my mind to the amazing things that people could think of and how they display it to the outside world. To conclude, I believe that this book is a great fit for readers that enjoy space or are willing to have a career that has something to do with space as per se. This book really contributes it’s ideas very well and has a great moral to the story and honestly can fit anyone that enjoys science fiction or has a passion towards it in any kind of way.
