Jim and his crew are once again in crazy situations trying to save their friends from the past. Gadiantons and the Silver Sword is the second book of a 13 book series by Chris Heimerdinger. Jim, his sister, his girlfriend, and his dear friend Garth have a sword that the Gadianton group of robbers from the past have been looking for. They come back to the present day to find the sword and take it from Jim at all costs. The Gadiantons drive them from Utah as far as the bottom tip of Mexico in a long, intense chase. It is a thrilling book with surprises hiding around every corner. Not once can Jim let up his guard. Throughout the novel, lessons from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are also taught and show why we need God for guidance in every aspect of our lives. There are plenty of life lessons that can be learned if you really look into things deeply. You can never predict what will happen next as the book constantly makes sharp turns. One good event can turn horribly wrong within seconds. I give this book a 5 out of 5 because there is mystery, adventure, violence, lessons to be learned, and inspiring character build along the way. I highly recommend reading this book if you want a read to keep you on your toes and really get you fully into a novel that will not bore you or allow you to predict outcomes.
