For my book Love, I chose to read Good Girl, Bad Blood, by Holly Jackson, published on April 30th, 2020. It falls under the categories of young adult, fiction, and mystery which are some of my favorites. I first heard about this book after reading the first one, A Good Girl's Guide To Murder, and could not wait to read it because I loved the first one so much. After I finished the second book I loved it so much that I immediately started on the third one. Although I have not completed the third one yet I can not wait to find out the rest of this thrilling mystery! After the Andie Bell case closes Pip decides she is done investigating and begins a crime podcast. Her relationship with Ravi Singh, who took part in the investigation remains good. When one of her good friends, Connor Reynolds told her his older brother Jamie Reynolds had gone missing, she rejected the offer of investigating but would notify the police of his disappearance. When the police do nothing about Jamie's sudden disappearance, due to his history of leaving home unannounced, Pippa steps up to handle the mystery herself. This time she is more cautious and promises to stay safe. As Pip dives deeper into the investigation she realizes this case is a lot more complicated than anyone could have imagined. Pip is still troubled by her last case leaving her with the decision of helping Jamie's family or not, but ultimately she decides to help find him. Through social media and her podcast, Pip gains clues that help her piece together Jamies vanish. This leaves readers with wonder after the story ends. I loved Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson! After finishing a Good Girls Guide to Murder I couldn't wait to read this one and see what new adventures Pip would be up to. The case was so extreme and had me on the edge of my seat. I also thoroughly enjoyed how the books are written with the journal entries and interviews. It made me feel like it was a real investigation rather than a fictional book. Additionally, I enjoyed seeing Pippa's character grow throughout the investigation as she is more mature than in the previous book. In the first book, Pip makes very impulsive decisions putting herself and others in danger but in the sequel, she is more cautious and thinks of others before acting. This book is worth the read if you have lots of free time because you won't want to stop reading once you start! If you love Mystery and Thriller Good Girl, Bad Blood is for you!
