The book, Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero, is written by the author Rick Riordan and published the year 2010. It is part of a five book series that is also a sequel to the books Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The book carries a lot of historical facts from the ancient Greek and Roman Gods and culture. The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero starts off with us being introduced to three new characters, Jason, Piper, and Leo. Each one of them come from a different background but all are in common by being half-bloods (half human, half god). Once rescued by Annabeth who is a character from the previous series, they are sent to Camp Half-Blood which is a sanctuary for half-bloods to train for what is outside of camp. As they arrive they are given a quest to go save the goddess Hera who is presumed to be held hostage. Not only is that a problem, but Percy Jackson is also missing and everyone thinks that Jason Hera and Percy are all connected in some way. This book is a really good book for someone who wants to read about some mythology while having a book with action and adventures. It is also really interesting because it tells the story in three different views of the main characters. I would recommend reading the Percy Jackson series before reading this book for it would give you a lot more knowledge on all the lore behind and to understand some of the characters from the previous series. This book leads more on the young adult side but still carries lots of humour and innocence from the previous. In all, this would be a great book to read and something that would make you wonder what is going to happen in the next book.
