House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig (4/5)

The House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig is about Annaleigh and her family, who all live at the manor, Highmoor. Annaleigh and her eleven sisters lived a gracious life until one by one four of her sisters died tragic deaths. After her most recent sister’s death, Annaleigh starts to become suspicious that her sisters were murdered. People around town suspect that her family is cursed but she refuses to believe it. Then Annaleigh discovers someone who could help her discover the truth and uncover the secrets about her family. They encounter many strange circumstances and take daring risks. I enjoyed reading this book with all the mystery and suspense twisted in. There was also a small bit of romance which was interesting to read as it started and then grew as the book continued. Though it felt like the ending was rushed. Which made it seem that there was no real solution and the problem was magically solved. Overall, the House of Salt and Sorrows has interesting qualities and is a good read.
