Review: “Man’s futile attempt to imitate God” (Rio). This book is a masterpiece, it follows Oliver Marks through his fourth and final year at Dellecher Classical Conservatory. After surviving through 3 years of purges, only 7 fourth years were left in the theater program. Richard is as stubborn as ever causing the whole group anguish and distrust falls in their ranks. The groups onstage personas begin to spill over into their real lives, affecting friendships and love. After a tragedy that rocks the group, they have to continue to act their way through the hardest show of their life, convincing everyone they know, that they aren’t guilty. This book follows the love, anger, distrust, and discourse of Dellechers Theater’s best. In my personal opinion, this book is a must-read if you enjoy intrigue, Shakespeare and lots of drama.
