Thomas Hardy’s sickness spreads throughout the pages in physiological and dreadful surprises that will leave you in disgust. A Man named Michael Henchard makes the biggest regret of his entire life because of his excessive consumption of alcohol was drunk. Later on he becomes a mayor of a small city called casterbridge, from there his biggest regret comes back to him only when he thought he left it all behind. A slippery slope ensues as Michael ruins his life and pushes everyone away when he decides to give up on everything.

For the Size of the book it contains more than three-hundred pages making it a great story to carry around without having it take up much space. I would recommend this book as its an interesting read showing the consequences of alcohol consumption and jealousy. The author is pretty good and the story was pretty interesting, it's a book necessary for completion without stopping.
