This book explores how our memory and mind works. Foer, the author, learns about mnemonic techniques by preparing for a memory competition and finds out about the different tips of remembering as he completes his journey. I enjoyed Moonwalking with Einstein and found it interesting how our brains work. I didn’t know much about the mnemonic community before reading this book. It was entertaining to read about how far people have gone in expanding their memory. I would say that the book is somewhat inspiring because it reveals that the normal, average person can memorize anything. The thing that made this book worth reading was the information and stories of people that Foer talks to. If you enjoy psychology and want to expand your memory, you should consider reading Moonwalking with Einstein. You should also look up any of the words you don’t know because it will help you understand the book. There are medical phenomena in this book, so if you want to see what the patients look like or find out more, googling them might add to the experience.
