This thought-boggling book introduces the reader to the hard and long journey of Chris Voss, as he goes from university to university teaching his ways. What “ways” you might ask? He's a master at his work, he's a negotiator. What does he negotiate though? He's a jack of all trades when it comes to it, he can get his way in and out of any situation, whether it's business, criminal justice, or even just day-to-day situations. He worked in the FBI and CIA for 20 years and specialized in hostage negotiations, you can even search him up! In this book, he teaches how he did it, and what to do to just improve your day-to-day life, when it comes to negotiations of course. He has now settled down as a professor at Marshal School of Business. If I'm being honest this is definitely a great read, I have changed my perspective on the art of negotiations and just many things in life as a whole. You can tell the author really cared about this topic, well of course he did, he’s a master in it. I would definitely read this book, it made me more knowledgeable, and as someone who doesn't read in their free time, I always made time to read this, even though I only had to read 200 pages, I stayed until the very end. If you have any free time I would definitely pick up this book. It didn't take me too long to finish. You can definitely knock this book out in a weekend or two. If you plan on going into law or into a hostage negotiator, this book is definitely a must. In conclusion, this book explores a topic you don't often see or learn in school, but negotiation is a skill everyone needs to be good at, especially if you want to be successful in life.
