Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is a book about a future in which almost everyone spends all of their time on a virtual-reality game called “The Oasis.”. After the death of James Halliday(Creator of the Oasis), his will was released to the public, in this video he talks about how a worldwide easter-egg hunt inside of the oasis has been set up. The winner of the easter egg hunt would gain ownership of the oasis and all of his assets. The story follows a young adult named Wade Watts hunting for this Easter Egg and the highs and lows he goes through. The book was compelling, the characters are relatable and likable, and the story is well thought out and well paced. In some parts of the book, the mood is overpowering, when the writer wants you to feel something, you will. The book is one of the greatest young-adult books out there and is definitely worth reading.
