Restart by Gordon Korman (5/5)

Restart is about a boy named Chase. In the beginning, Chase has just woken up from a coma, a result of a fall off his roof, and has amnesia because of it., he cannot remember anything about his past life. Previously, he was a star on the football team and one of the most popular guys in school. Because of his previous actions before the blackout. he has many enemies and people who dislike him. He tries to get involved in many activities but is banished from the video club after he was framed for injuring a student. Even though Chase was not the culprit he was presumed as the perpetrator because he was known to do terrible actions in the past.. Chase was also previously sentenced to community service at a retirement home, Because of a prank he and his friends played at a school event where they planted cherry bombs inside a piano. At the retirement home, Chase becomes colleagues with an old man who has previously won the medal of honor, but he couldn't trace where he had placed the medal and it was presumed lost. Chase later realized that he had previously stolen the medal and is now facing charges, but many people were able to aid his case because he had changed. With Chase’s new life, throughout the book Chase grows more distant from who he once was, befriending many people and ultimately making himself a better person.

I enjoyed the reading of this novel because there are many good lessons to learn from as well as the many perspectives and experiences you read about throughout the book. You read about how your actions have different effects on everybody and that you should always be aware. This book teaches about the consequences that your previous actions could have on you, and how you can better yourself from new opportunities presented in your life. Chase was able to change
