The book Temple by Matthew Rielly is a fast-paced fiction military novel with an idol from four centuries ago hidden in the jungles of Peru. It was a very good book and I feel I learned a lot about other countries and the military altogether. To the Incan people in Peru, it is still an ultimate symbol of their spirit. But William Race was enlisted by the Army as an American linguist. He was sent to the thick jungles in Peru to decipher the clues to the idol's location being the ultimate symbol of the apocalypse. This idol had been found to contain a rare stone not found on earth that possesses elements more destructive than any from a nuclear bomb. Turning this idol into a one-of-a-kind virtual planet killer. When countries from all over the world are coming to Peru for this one-of-a-kind power that in the wrong hands could mean the end of humanity. This Idol is the key to the end or beginning of the world containing the power of the gods to rule all. In the foothills of the Andes in South America Williams Races team from the U.S Army has arrived for the idol but they are not here alone. At the foothills of the Andes Races team among others soon discovers that to penetrate the temple of the Incas and find the idol they will have to break the first rule of survival. His team will soon discover that some treasures are meant to stay buried and there are some that are ready to kill to keep it that way. While fighting with Germans, Incas, and other forces trying to get this idol away from the wrong hands to secure their future. Races crew is going against all odds and forces of power to obtain this uncontrollable new molecule to make an unnamed device. Different countries after the same goal this new power of the idol with William race against other military armies and bases will he make it or will he be left behind find out by reading this series by Matthew Reilly.
