The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan (4/5)

The Book “Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus” is the final book of the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. It follows 7 demigods of both Greek and Roman mythology and their quest to stop Gaia from awakening and destroying the world, while also stopping other Greek and Roman demigods from starting a war on eachother. This book was so fun to read and it was always so exciting when a chapter ended with a cliffhanger. I became very attached with each one of the characters and following the adventures around Europe and America was very entertaining. I loved how each character had their own personality and “spark” in a way that makes them recognizable.  All 7 of the main characters and the few side characters are very diverse and colorful with each of them having a unique ability and backstory that drives the plot forward. The drama between the characters and the humor in the book was so well thought out and captivating to me and the romance between the characters was so cute. Besides that, I also like this book because of how much it connects with the people at middle school or high school. The characters may even remind young adults how they acted before in the years that they were in school or just hanging out with their friends. This helps create a bond with the personalities of the different identities in the novel.  The ending between all the characters was so heartwarming and it made reading the last page so rewarding.  My advice for people reading this book: Do not rush reading it and take time to enjoy comforting moments and suspenseful scenes with the characters. To conclude, I love this book and I love each one of the characters. I would recommend this book and even the whole series to read because it’s truly worth it. I would especially recommend this book to the readers who enjoy mythology or people in school around the age of the characters to relate to them better and understand their thought process better. I strongly recommend this book.
