The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-time (3/5)

This is a story about a 15 year old boy named Christopher John Francis Bonne who has high functioning autism. He is from a small town called Swindon, England. This story takes place in 1998. The story starts off with the news of the murder of his neighbor's dog, Wellington. Christopher goes to his neighbors houses and askes around trying to figure out what happened. He gets threatened by his dad to stop the investigation. Christopher continues, but gets a book he begins to read. His father ends up finding the book and taking it away from him. When his dad is at work Christopher snoops through the house looking for the book. He goes into his dad's room and finds a bunch of letters from his mom who he thinks is dead. He reads the letters in dispbelife. His dad finds out about the letters and confesses to the murder of Wellington. Christopher finds out his dad was having an affair with the owner of Wellington and killed her dog. And his mother was not really dead. Si goes to find his mother in London and he moves in with her and gets regular visits from his dad.

I personally thought the book was a little boring, but it also gave a different perspective of the world. It changed my viewpoint of how others see things and how they interpret everyday objects, and interactions with people. I would tell any future reader to be patient at the start of the book and to wait for the dramatic turn of events.
