The book Heros of Olympus: The Son of Neptune is written by Rick Riordan and is the second book in The Heros of Olympus series which proceeds the book The Lost Hero. This book introduces us to Percy Jackosn who was the main character in the previous series alongside introducing two new main characters, Frank and Hazel. These two characters are from Camp Jupiter which is the Roman version of Camp Half-Blood. Percy Jackson now with amnesia finds this new place called Camp Jupiter and becomes friends with these two new characters. Later on, Mars the god of war tells Frank that he is his father Frank has been given a quest and must take Percy with him. Frank also request that Hazel join since they are really close. The quest is that the three of them are part of seven demigods from the great prophecy and that they must free Thanatos who is the god of death to try and save the world from the Earth goodness, Gaea. This is a really good book for adventure with a little comedic relief. It carries a lot of greek and Roman knowledge alongside having a bit of fantasy. I really like how Rick Riordan is able to have three different types of views each coming from the three main characters in the book. I would recommend as a warning before reading this book that you read the first series or at least the first book of this series, Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero. This book does have a slow start and can get confusing if you don’t follow along but is very interesting once you get deeper into the book. Overall, I believe that this book is a really good option and that you should give it a chance especially if you like an adventure and with some Greek and Roman background..
