The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan (4/5)

In the Novel ”The Hidden Oracle” the greek god apollo is reincarnated as a human as punishment from Zeus, he meets a girl demigod and takes her to Percy Jackson's house. Percy takes them to where all demigods go to Camp Half-Blood. Apollo receives his prophecy and his demigod friend finds herself at camp half blood. They go on an adventure to fulfill the prophecy they were given, they have to face challenges to restore the five oracles on Mount Olympus. I think this book is good, but I think the Percy Jackson Series is better. It's interesting to see how apollo adjusts to being a human because he is one of the most self-centered gods. The Humor in this book is kinda childish but it's good nonetheless. I like how similar to Percy Jackson we get to see Apollo grow throughout the book. I also enjoyed seeing the characters from the last series. But the book seems less original because it's the same concept, get a prophecy, go through challenges, and complete the prophecy. I think this book could have gone a different direction with Apollo, Maybe acquiring items to restore his godhood by himself instead of Zeus doing it himself. I think that this book might be better if you didn't read the first series before reading this one. If you are imaginative, this book is good to read, also if you like greek mythology because this book has a lot of it. After learning about greek mythology all of the characters make more sense while i was reading. Also, Apollo's humor is much easier to understand if you know about greek mythology. If i were to give advice to future readers I would read this before reading Percy Jackson to avoid the repetition of the plot and also learn about greek mythology. I would recommend that you read “The Hidden Oracle”
