The Inheritance Games by: Jennifer Lynn Barnes (4/5)

In the Inheritance Games, Avery Grambs inherits over a billion dollars out of nowhere. One day, she’s mysteriously given an invitation to the reading of a will for a man she’s never met. Avery reluctantly goes to the reading to discover the newly deceased man was one of the richest people in America. She’s met with his snobby family, who are all fighting over the inheritance they’re about to receive. When the will is read she discovers that she has been left the entire inheritance, much to the family's shock. The family angered and refusing to accept fate, believes there has to be a reason behind it. The man is quite well known amongst his relatives for loving a good puzzle, and leaves mysterious clues in the notes he left to the entire family and Avery. Avery has to discover his reasoning before the family finds a way to exploit the money she recently gained while dealing with the fact that she just became the youngest billionaire in the world. The Inheritance Games was thoroughly entertaining and never felt slow. It had an interesting plot and puzzles that made me want to continue reading. It was easy to follow and I found myself trying to figure out the mystery along with the main characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a good mysterious adventure.
