With Fletcher's accusation, he was stuck in prison for a year and now he is going back out to help the war that is taking place between the people in his land. The Inquisition by Taran Matharu is the second book in the Summoners series and there is a large war going on between different races of this fantasy world and summoners, or magic users who can call for demons (good) are good for war. It takes place one year after the MC, Fletcher, was put into jail and shows what happens after he gets out. He faces his trial and finds out new information about his life. Fletcher embarks on a mission with the rest of his friends and former classmates to shut down a part of the war. Personally, I think that this book had many open plots and short arches that were randomly thrown in or not elaborated enough on. The first book was better but the story building, character development, and plot twists make the read enjoyable to a certain extent. If you enjoy a fantasy read then I suggest that you read the first book. If you like the world and characters then continue onto the second. It's an easy read and is an interesting series that a fiction lover would appreciate.
