The Lost Hero follows the quest of Jason Grace in rescuing the goddess Hera from her captive, Gaea who is the mother of most of the 12 Olympians and the goddess of the earth. He is accompanied by Piper McLean and Leo Valdez. The plot of the book was well thought out, and short moments that show the more human moments were placed in areas that made sense and didn’t feel like they were randomly placed just for the fun of it. The book also included many moments of intensity with parts of action scattered throughout the book. This kept me hooked on the book and filled with anticipation of what was going to happen.
