The Maze Runner is about Thomas was summoned into a place called the glade in a box that brings supplies and people monthly. The Glade is surrounded by walls 100 feet or taller. Those walls are a maze that changes every night. Each member of the glade has certain jobs. The glade is all boys until a girl named Teresa gets brought up the box with a note saying this is the last. The people of the glade run in the maze daily looking for an exit. In the maze, there are dangerous creatures called Grievers. A problem arises and the people need to escape quickly. There is one theme that lasts throughout the book which is you have to persevere no matter what happens. This book was very entertaining. I felt like I was always on my heels waiting to turn the page. I like how the author created a theme that could relate to people which is you have to persevere no matter what happens. The ending clearly suggests a whole new element to the next book in the series. I have read books that were very dull and not suspenseful I think James Dasher really kept me excited. I really loved this book. I am a person that does not enjoy reading much. When I started this book I was hooked I actually enjoyed the book the whole way through. I am planning to read the whole series. If you are a student that does not like to read much. This is the book for you.
