In The Paladin Prophecy, there is a boy named Will West who, thinking he is normal but soon finds out, has superpowers. He is a star track runner and one random day, his love changes. First, he gets followed by a random black sedan, and soon after, finds out he aced a standardized test. He then gets accepted to a secret school in Wisconsin. He realizes something is wrong with his mom when she comes into a meeting to talk about Will’s success and Will also finds a video of his dad being attacked soon after. Will then accepts the offer to go to this school in Wisconsin, called the “Center for Integrated Learning.” To get there, he hires a taxi driver, named Nando Gutierrez, who is also important later in the story. On the plane, Will meets Dave Gunner, who gives him magical glasses to see demons. When he arrives, Will realizes he isn’t the only one with weird powers. During the school year, he and his friends find a secret “club,” and as time goes on, more and more secrets about the school are found, and Will and his friends have to get to the bottom of it.
I was thrown off guard by the events of this story so many times. The surprises that you get aren’t like anything I’ve read in any other book. I really enjoyed reading this book, and even though it isn’t a hard read, it’s a read that keeps you entertained and interested all the time.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but I definitely recommend it for any other readers. The series continues in book two and I’ve read that book too. It is another great book and the whole series is a must read and something I very much recommend.
