The book Zero Repeat Forever by Gabrielle S. Prendergast is a very solid book. The book is told from the perspectives of Raven, a survivor of the Alien invasion, and Eighth an alien invader. I won’t spoil the plot, but it isn't very face-paced. Also, the book explores some very dark themes about death, family, and morality. Very early in the book, it introduces big themes and some very morally dubious moments. For me, it was too dark, it did not spend time in many happier moments. Overall, however, I find the characters to be very lifelike and the story-telling immersing. In general, the plot slowly becomes more and more complicated as the story progresses and the reader sees significant character arcs. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who can handle the dark undertones throughout the story.
