2001: A Space Odyssey is definitely a timeless book without the need for elaboration, but if you’re a first-time reader and have never heard about the story, you might be slightly disappointed if you’re expecting a ground-breaking, never seen experience. Lots and lots of details, ideas, and imagery have been explored thoroughly with countless other movies and books in the past decades; what makes this book different is that it is the origin of all these ideas. It’s kind of like watching Thomas Edison inventing light bulbs; a predictable marvelous
adventure.
