A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson (4/5)

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a young-adult crime, thriller novel by Holly Jackson. It follows the story of Pippa Fitz-Amobi a senior in high school as she chooses a topic for her school’s capstone project. Five years ago in her small town in Connecticut, a girl named Andie Bell mysteriously disappeared. A confession text from Andie's boyfriend at the time Sal Singh leads the police and the town to believe that he murdered her. But, before this can be proven or disproven he dies by supposed suicide. Despite this Pippa feels that there is something off to how this case as the Andies’s body was never found and there is no other evidence that would link Sal to the case besides the text, his family also says that this suicide was out of character for him. Pippa chooses this case for her project and teams up with Sal’s brother Ravi to prove his innocence to everyone. This book is full of suspense and unexpected plot twists at each turn. I enjoyed reading it and not knowing what would happen to the characters in the next chapter. The author Holly Jackson did a fantastic job of entertaining readers throughout the entire book and through the continuation of the trilogy. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is perfect for fans of crime, suspense, and those who are interested in a small-town murder mystery.
