And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (4/5)

10 people go to an island, none return. Nobody knows what happened and why this eclectic group of people was called to a mysterious island. In And Then There Were None by Agatha Christe, 8 strangers go to an island that was bought mysteriously. When they get there there is only a butler and his wife who have explicit instructions on what to do and when to do it. The guests are suspicious but don’t think much of it. One by one the guests are killed until they realize that the killings follow a child’s nursery rhyme. They try to figure out the killer by using clues but they continue to be picked off.

I enjoyed this book because it moved quickly and didn’t have a dull moment. It was a little confusing because of the many main characters but you catch on relatively quickly. I was a little bit disappointed with the ending, I expected a very different outcome but it is still a very good and well-written book. It’s mysterious without being scary. I would recommend this book as a quick read because it’s complicated but it reads very easily.
