Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (4/5)

A missing wife. A suspicious husband. Cheating, lying, and a murder scene, or is it? Nick Dunne comes home to find his house turned inside out and his wife Amy is missing. Nick is quickly pointed out as the lead suspect by the police while he is desperately trying to figure out where his wife went. As the police dissect Amy’s diary, the entries become more and more concerning until there can only be one outcome. As the book switches perspectives from Nick to Amy, the reader gains a deeper understanding of their deeply flawed relationship and learns that the killer may not be who they think. The writing is whip-smart and fast-paced, with sharp twists and turns that will leave you dying for more. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a twisty mystery novel with a surprise ending.
