One of Us Is Lying is a murder mystery themed book. After five high schoolers are sent to detention, some suspicious activity begins to occur. At the arrival of their detention, all of the teens realize that they have been given a random phone with one app on it. Each one of the students that got detention are given a problem to help each other figure out and deduct who the murderer could be. Among the five students that entered the detention that day, only one got to leave.
Initially, I felt this book had a slow start. The overall story/plot line was depicted very well, and always kept me interested at all times. The ending of the story was very interesting and had a nice turn of events.
With all things considered, I rated this book a 4/5 because of it’s great comprehension and mysterious vibes. For me, something that can keep you guessing is always a book to enjoy. The only reason I gave a 4/5 and not a 5/5 is because I occasionally got lost in some of the scenes with the activities they had to complete.
