The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom (4/5)

The Hiding Place tells a non-fiction story of Corrie Ten Boom which takes place in 1940 during World War II. The book starts out with Corrie and her family in their home country Holland. As World War II begins Corrie takes in local Jewish families to protect them from being sent to concentration camps. Corrie is faced with many risky and unsafe situations while hiding them. Does she get caught? The Hiding Place was an interesting read that brought me through many unforgiving twists the characters had to face. The hardship tale was full of many tragedies and often made me feel downhearted throughout the book. Overall the book’s ending was reassuring and taught me to be grateful for what you have. I recommend this book to readers that enjoy real-life stories and unhappy books with pleasant endings.
