There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins (4.5/5)

Which teen will be lying dead next. This mystery book was published in 2017. Just recently a movie came out on Netflix relating to the book. Makani, the main character moved from Hawaii to Nebraska, she lived with her grandmother. Her new school seemed boring at first, but as time went on something strange started happening. A serial killer was killing teens one by one, rumors about the mysterious murderer spread throughout the school, many theories of who did it are shared throughout. In my opinion, I found this book quite interesting, although I didn’t finish the book yet I get the gist of it. The way this story is told from Makani’s point of view makes it more enticing to read since she doesn’t know the background of every single person who attends the high school and only has a few friends. The characters in this book are diverse and the emotion included in the book makes it seem more than a normal gory novel. The dialogue sets up the whole story, this book is easily written out to be understood by lower levels that wish to read it. I’m enjoying the book so far and the suspense and excitement of turning a page when reading is great. I recommend this book if you are into mystery books, it allows you to come up with propositions and guess who might’ve done it as you learn about the characters.
